Artisans Cooperative is crafting an online handmade marketplace for an inclusive network of creatives. We are a member-owned, member-run and member-benefiting co-op. Our marketplace will be an *actually* handmade alternative to Etsy; and instead of company profits flowing to outside stock holders, the co-op's artisan owners will have more control over their own livelihoods. https://artisans.coop/

The co-op is currently volunteer-run, and we are raising capital to create the marketplace platform prior to launch. When you purchase a handmade pottery mug or small dish, the actual shipping cost is the only amount of your payment that will be kept by StellaNCWorks - the rest of your payment amount will be donated to Artisans Cooperative.  **** If you want to add more to your donation, add the "add $5" or other amounts in this listing to your shopping cart before completing your purchase.

These items are in stock and ready to ship.

Small dishes are just shy of 4 inches in diameter. The lip rises approx. 0.4 inch above the table it sits on.

Mugs are approx. 4.65 inches tall, approx. 5 inches wide including the handle, with a mouth opening approx. 3 inches diameter. Size varies, but each comfortably holds approx. 19 fluid ounces.

These items are microwave and dishwasher safe. The glaze is food-safe, and even un-glazed portions are non-porous. I use fine-grit sandpaper on bottoms so they are smooth :)  I threw each mug on the wheel out of stoneware clay, pulled the handle, carved or painted surface decoration, fired it in the kiln, rubbed underglaze into carved lines, glazed, and fired again to 2232F. Small dishes are handbuilt, using the same process for decoration and firing.

See my FAQ about "care instructions" for use in the oven, microwave, and dishwasher. It boils down to mitigating the risks of thermal shock and abrasive detergents by using simple precautions similar to glass ware.

This is a handmade, one-of-a-kind creation, with imperfections, and I hope that you will use it and enjoy it. I have tried to provide images that demonstrate the complete picture, but if you would like an additional image of a certain area, or if you have any questions, please ask.

I will cushion the heck out of this when I ship it, and I package in recycled materials whenever possible. If you want the item gift wrapped, please see my FAQ about "gifts."
